‘We can choose to throw stones, to stumble on them, to climb over them…or to build with them’. –
William Arthur Ward
My counselling practice approach is to ensure that each individual client has a rewarding experience of self-growth, that will enable them to gain insight into different angles of their personality that may be causing distressing challenges in their lives.
Through short term therapy the goal is to help clients explore their inner dimensions that will assist them in changing certain aspects of their lives.
Through building a therapeutic relationship, I work with my clients to facilitate them to gain coping skills that will assist them through difficult circumstances. I use an integrative therapeutic approach that will be determined by the challenges we are faced with, in order to enable and empower my clients to help them achieve their personal goals. I aim to provide a safe and affirming space where my clients feel comfortable.
Individuals who could benefit from trauma counselling would be victims of crime, or any other traumatic experience including accidents or loss of employment, individuals who have lost significant others or pets, individuals experiencing mood changes and depression, people suffering from anxiety or panic attacks, people going through life transitions, individuals struggling with emotional issues, couples having difficulty in their relationship and children struggling with grief, loss and divorce.
